Insurer Delta Dental has tracked since 1998 how much money kids have found under their pillows after losing a tooth. The per tooth average has climbed fairly consistently over the years (it was just $1.30 in ’98, and $1.54 in ’02), although 2010’s rate seemed to undergo a market correction. More than 100,000 Delta Dental subscribers are asked to participate in Tooth Fairy polling. The Dow Jones industrial average is also tracked here.
