Chris Cooper’s ‘Corrections’ not moving forward

HBO has rejected “The Corrections.’’ According to Michael Ausiello of TVLine.com, the cable network - which just renewed Lena Dunham ’s “Girls’’ and the Julia Louis-Dreyfus comedy “Veep’’ - has decided not to produce a series based on Jonathan Franzen ’s novel, which was to star Kingston Oscar-winner Chris Cooper , Maggie Gyllenhaal , Ewan McGregor , and Dianne Wiest . A pilot for the show had already been filmed and was directed by Noah Baumbach . . .
