Boston Rugby Football Club members play a rugged, full-contact sport for the love of competing, not the money to be made. (There is none.) They play it at a high level, too, finishing third among 12 elite teams at last year’s USA Rugby Super League championships. They are foreigners and local guys, school teachers and web designers. As members of the Boston Rugby Football Club, whose next home game takes place May 12 at Tk, they represent amateur sport at its purest. And toughest.
