Author Gregory Maguire spoke Friday to more than 400 scholars, critics, and assorted other literary pros at the annual Children’s Literature Association Conference, hosted this year by Simmons College. Maguire is a Simmons alum and former children’s literature professor. Of course, that was all before his book “Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West” was adapted into a hit Broadway play.
