Former Celtic Shaquille O’Neal was nice enough to take a photo with Marblehead fan Michelle Gottlieb when he was in town to film “Grown Ups 2” on Wednesday. It was Gottlieb’s first time meeting Shaq, but it wasn’t the first time the retired basketball star (and occasional actor) had done a favor for her family. In March, Shaq taped a video message for Gottlieb’s son, Sam Orenstein, congratulating him on his bar mitzvah. (One of Gottlieb’s relatives knows Shaq through his work at Turner Broadcasting.) Gottlieb said, of her son, “He is a huge basketball fan. He almost fell over when he saw this video.” Gottlieb said Shaq was lovely to her when she introduced herself on Wednesday as the mother of the bar mitzvah boy. The only thing that dampened her spirits was that she wasn’t able to bring Sam with her. The 13-year-old is at summer camp in Maine, so he didn’t even know that his mom was able to meet Shaq in person. “I sent him the picture,” she told us.
