They’re already hitched, but we’re told Sox GM Ben Cherington and his wife, Tyler Tumminia , will celebrate their recent marriage with another ceremony, this one for family and friends Sept. 15 in upstate New York. The couple originally wed April 6 at Brooklyn Borough Hall in New York, but there was no party to celebrate the big event, and by the next day Cherington and Tumminia were both back at work. (Tumminia is a marketing exec at the Goldklang Group, a sports entertainment consulting and management firm.) Apparently, ballplayers aren’t invited to the September shindig because the team has a game that day in Toronto. But there’s likely to be a baby in attendance. We’re told Tumminia, who’s pregnant, is due to give birth in the next couple of weeks.
