In his new memoir, “Running Ransom Road: Confronting the Past, One Marathon at a Time,” author Caleb Daniloff reruns scenes from his life as an alcoholic and drug abuser before turning to distance running as a sobriety tool. A graduate of Columbia University’s creative writing program, Daniloff, 43, lives in Cambridge and will give a reading Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. at the Harvard Book Store.
