Hi. Meet Maleki. He loves to listen to soft music.
Maleki is an affectionate, smiling 7-year-old with autism and intellectual disabilities. He is thriving in his foster home, where he has bonded well, and where he is showered with love and understanding, patience and positive attention.
Although he is not yet talking, Maleki has some words and mimicks others more and more. He enjoys best playing with toys and listening to music. He attends public school, where he receives the services he needs to continue to make progress.
Maleki would do well in a family of any constellation, with or without other children. A family would need to commit itself to advocating on Maleki’s behalf throughout his life. He would like to stay in touch with his wonderful foster family after he is placed in an adoptive home. Maleki will bring joy and love to a family able to meet his needs and with a lot of love to give him back.
November is National Adoption Month
Celebrate by heading to the Massachusetts State House and viewing the Heart Gallery from Nov. 19-30. The gallery is a collection of portraits of children, including Maleki, who are in foster care waiting for adoptive families. The portraits aim to reflect each child’s personality, and are done by professional photographers from all around the state who donate their time and skills to help these children find permanent homes.
