It began with a cryptic e-mail from an unfamiliar source: “Look at the sky as often as you ‘can’ — for about 21 days. I’ll contact you again in 3 wks.” It included a link to a website with clouds.
Signing off with “More Light,” this guy could have been a total whack job. But something about the writing said this had nothing to do with UFO sightings. I clicked in.

Jack, you rascal, get thee to the Boston Schoolyard Initiative and let's reclaim the skies for public education.
Not even a contrail in yesterday's noon day sky. The best part of sky watching is the price of admission and cost of equipment. And don't forget the night sky, you might catch a meteor, aurora, or the old moon in the new moon's arms (reflected Earthlight).
I worked with Jack Borden and "For Spacious Skies" many years ago as a Boston teacher, and I'm delighted to learn that he's still around and encouraging people to look up! As a lifelong sky-watcher, I was thrilled to have finally seen a total solar eclipse off the coast of Australia a couple of months ago... and be in the company of others willing to get up at 3 AM to look for the southern cross in the night sky!
Strange to say but I have always thought thay I was one of the only folks fixated on clouds and the sky. Does not make me feel so alone now. As an aside, I was tempted to write as a lark, "I've looked at clouds from both sides now...but I really don't know clouds at all." That would be Judy Collins for all of those young folks out there! Cheers!
Hi Jack,
I met you at B.U. during the student protest against the Vietnam war. I helped you get inside the building. So glad you are back again and alive and well.
Yes, I look up in the sky. I see all its grandeur and ever-changing beauty. I also see unmarked planes at 60,000 feet leaving behind, not vapor trails, but long trails of white "smoke" of unknown content marring the natural beauty of the sky dome. I have hundreds of pictures of these trails that do not quickly evaporate like contrails but linger long and spread, going from one end of the horizon to the other. This scarring of the majesty of our blue sky is quite outrageous and one wonders why these unmarked planes are able to get away with this. What agency has authorized this and for what reason? They are commonly called chemical trails.
You can google "Chemical Trails" and get hundreds of photos of these trails being spread all over this state and others. I will behappy to send you a CD of the many photos I have taken of these trials over my home town, Brookline. My email is sdaisy695@gmail.com
Back in the day when i used to use orange sunshine LSD i could really appreciate how looking at the sky would change your whole point of view. For that matter looking at anything could alter your perception. LSD had the ability to relegate everything to equal importance, so we could see fine details . In our world today we don't have time to actually look at the sky. We live in our own little bottle and see only what we want to see. So ....although i do not recommend u try LSD, they made that illegal, i would agree that stopping and looking at the sky just might change your point of view!
