The headline is misleading. We do not have an "extra hour" of light. The government decided to take an hour of sunlight away from those of us who enjoy sunlight in the morning and give it to people who prefer sunlight in the evening. There are a lot of things you can do with sunlight in the morning before you go to work. You can wake up "naturally" with sun filtering in your window and you can read for a half hour. You can walk the dog without a flashlight. Now we've got to wait another three weeks to catch up with the morning sunlight that was brutally taken away last weekend.
