Iced tea, elegantly brewed

Homemade iced tea is a guilt-free summertime pleasure. Too bad pitchers can be less than perfect, from clunky crystal to flimsy plastic. And those cute acrylic dispensers inevitably leak. DAVIDsTEA, a fun and modern tea establishment that opened two outposts in Boston this past winter, offers an elegant solution: a mouth-blown glass vessel perched on a chic wood stand. It’s highly functional, too. A clever glass insert holds ice, keeping tea chilled without diluting it. As for what flavor to brew, consider one of five limited-edition summer blends, which include Mango Fruit Punch (above), Mint Julep, and Coconut Grove. Iced tea dispenser, $59.50 and assorted summer teas, $7.50-$12 for 2 oz. The Summer Tea Collection, $25.50 for 25 grams each of five different teas. DAVIDsTEA, 661 Tremont St., 617-585-9534, and 298 Washington Street, 617-292-0098, Boston, www.davidstea.com
