Sunday’s Child: Patrick, 11, has high hopes — to fight fires

Hi! My name is Patrick. I would love to be a firefighter when I grow up.

Patrick is 11, a sweet and soft-spoken boy who enjoys school and spending time with his peers. Handsome and friendly, and sometimes shy, Patrick’s interests range from reading to playing basketball to riding his bike to going to movies. He is quite intuitive for his age and often thoughtful of others. And he loves to entertain his friends.

At school, Patrick has an Individualized Education Program and is academically on target with these supports in place. He strives to succeed and is proud of his accomplishments.

Patrick would benefit from a two-parent or single-parent family that could offer him plenty of undivided attention. But he would do well with siblings of the same age or older.
