2014 SOWA WINTER MARKET The popular summer market presents an indoor winter version featuring indie wares from area crafters, artists, and designers. Choose from gourmet foods, vintage clothing, and fine arts and crafts on Saturdays all winter long. Two special themed markets are featured on Feb. 8 (wearables and jewelry) and March 15 (home decor). Saturdays 11 a.m.-4 p.m. through April 19. FAMILY ARTS FESTIVALS Pick up an arts passport and travel to destinations including an interactive family concert, creative movement class, Suzuki demonstration, instrument petting zoo, and drama class. EARTH ROCKS! FAMILY FESTIVAL Learn about planet Earth from the inside out by examining rocks and minerals, meeting Harvard scientists, and participating in hands-on activities. There’ll be fossils to explore, panning for gold, volcano demonstrations, and a 2 p.m. talk on “Discovering Thoreau the Geologist” by author Robert Thorson.
