Jamie Bernstein , daughter of the late Leonard Bernstein, was among the VIPs attending a Saturday concert conducted by Grammy winner Gustavo Dudamel at Longy School of Music Bard College. Dudamel appeared with the Sistema Side by Side Orchestra, made up largely of 60 young musicians from Greater Boston and Pittsfield. Bernstein joined Longy president Karen Zorn in presenting Dudamel with a lifetime achievement award. Attendees at a post-concert cocktail party included Boston Philharmonic music director Benjamin Zander , MIT president Rafael Reif, actresses Ginny Mancini and Gates McFadden , radio talkmeister Christopher Lydon , and critic-poet Lloyd Schwartz .
