Trubama? Obama, Trudeau meet for a casual dinner date.

It might not be “Nighthawks,” Edward Hopper’s iconic painting of a late-night diner scene. But the photo that emerged from a Tuesday-night dinner between former president Barack Obama and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau inside a diner-esque setting in Montreal’s St. Henri neighborhood has certainly generated some good, old-fashioned Internet buzz.

Looking relaxed and at ease — no ties, shirt sleeves rolled up — the two men can be seen chatting casually in a restaurant booth. The topic of the conversation, both later said, was the task of developing young political leaders. (According to the Montreal Gazette, Obama was in town for a speech at the Palais des congrès, in an event organized by the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal.)

In the midst of a tumultuous past few months for the current administration — since taking office, President Trump has been besieged by scandal, controversy, and drama — the photo depicted a moment of calm, and fans of the two politicians were already trying to bestow the pair with a name worthy of their friendship.

As one person posted to Twitter, “I’m still working out their couple name. Obamadeau? Trubama?”
