Chef Vittorio Ettore’s Bistro 5, in Medford, is the quintessential neighborhood restaurant: beloved by those who live nearby, seldom visited by those who don’t. With A Tavola, Ettore creates a similar restaurant in Winchester. It offers Italian dishes that are just enough off the beaten track, intriguing without being alienating - cocoa pasta with braised rabbit, for instance.
