    Recipe for bean and cabbage stew

    Serves 4

    2  cups cooked cabbage, coarsely chopped 

    2  pork chops, meat removed and cut into slivers 

    3  cups beans and their liquid 


     Salt and pepper, to taste

    2  cups water 

    2  tablespoons chopped fresh parsley 

    1. In a soup pot over medium heat, combine the cabbage, pork, beans and their liquid, salt, pepper, and water. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes.

    2. Taste for seasoning and add more salt and pepper, if you like. Ladle into shallow bowls and sprinkle with parsley.
