It’s in the Flip & Tumble shopping bag

If plastic shopping bags are ever to become a thing of the past, we’re going to have to tuck fabric bags everywhere. The Flip & Tumble bag ($10) will comes in handy. It’s a stretchy pouch, about the size of a tennis ball, which unfurls into a roomy, full-size shopping bag. Made of sturdy machine-washable nylon, the bags come in bright designer colors and have shoulder straps lined with felt to keep them from slipping. Toss one into a purse or shoulder bag and don’t leave home without it. Available at Cambridge Naturals, 23 White St., Porter Square Shopping Center, Cambridge, 617-492-4452,; Kitchen Outfitters, Acton Woods Plaza, 342 Great Road, Acton, 978-263-1955,; The Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston, 100 Northern Ave., 617-478-3165.
