Salt and crunch, but less fat than potato chips

When you have a hankering for salt and crunch, Baked Lentil Chips from Mediterranean Snacks ($3.79 for 4.5 ounces) are healthier and easier on the waistline than potato chips. Made from lentils, garbanzos, and adzuki beans, they come in sea salt, cracked pepper, cucumber dill, and rosemary flavors. The chips have 70 percent less fat than their potato counterparts, and the shape makes them ideal for scooping salsa, hummus, and spreads. Or munch them straight from the bag. Available at Stop & Shop and Shaw’s locations, and Wegmans, 9102 Shops Way, Northborough, 508-936-1900. ANN TRIEGER KURLAND
