Enjoy edges of famous brownies

Roher/Sprague Partners

William Greenberg Jr., the celebrated New York City baker, was known for his brownies. A red tin of the sweets even appeared on an episode of “Mad Men.” Son Seth grew up nibbling on the crispy edges, his favorite part. So did his daughter. He found a way to bake just brownie edges and sells them as Seth Greenberg’s Authentic New York Brownie Crunch ($3.99 to $4.99 for a 4-ounce bag). The melt-in-your mouth wafers have a rich, dark chocolate flavor, and are both soft and crispy. They come in mint, chocolate chip, and toffee. His daughter calls them “brownie heaven.” We agree. Available at Harvest Co-op,
580 Mass. Ave., Cambridge, 617-661-1580; Pemberton Farms, 2225 Mass. Ave., Cambridge, 617-491-2244; Marty’s Fine Wines, 675 Washington St., Newton, 617-332-1230, www.browniecrunch.com
