Bee’s Knees Supply Co., in the Fort Point area, has a 5,500-square-foot shop that is more Brooklyn than Boston. The inviting space, where you can sit and eat inside or out, urges you to saunter and choose from among the charcuterie, almost 300 farmstead cheeses, dairy products, produce, butcher-shop meats, seafood, and pastries, including French macaroons. Owner Jason Owens has been building a network of resources since his days at American Provisions in South Boston. He has partnered with Jen Turner to showcase her Blue Tierra chocolates, and he’s offering scoops of Batch Ice Cream (salted caramel is a favorite). Roam around to find a table set with MacKenzie-Childs’s black-and-white checked dinnerware and a wall of beer. The staff may be dressed in plaid flannel but the taste is pure sophistication. Bee’s Knees Supply Co., 12 Farnsworth St., Boston, 617-292-2337, www.beeskneessupply.com.
