An eco-friendly loofah to scrub that pot

Full Circle

The most humble of kitchen necessities just got a little greener with the new Flip loofah scrubber sponges (3-pack for $5.99 to $7.99) from Full Circle, a New York company making eco-friendly cleaning tools. Scrub dishes with the loofah side, made from a gourd-like plant, and flip to wipe the counter top with the absorbent cellulose side. The loofah is tough but won’t scratch a nonstick surface or wine glass. The sponge doubles in size when wet and can be disinfected in the microwave. When it’s time to toss it, it will biodegrade. There’s no reason you can’t bring one into the shower to give your skin a buffing too. Available at Bloomingdale’s, Chestnut Hill Mall, 225 Boylston St., Newton, 617-630-6000; Tags Hardware,
29 White St., Cambridge, 617-868-7711; All Ways Organic & Natural, 84A Commonwealth. Ave., Concord, 978-512-0117.
