2 | tablespoons canola oil |

1¼ | pounds button mushrooms, trimmed and sliced |
1 | medium onion, finely chopped |
Salt and pepper, to taste | |
1 | tablespoon cornstarch mixed with ½ cup cold water |
1. In a skillet over medium heat, heat the oil. When it is hot, add the mushrooms, onion, salt, and pepper. Cook, stirring often, for 10 minutes.
2. Stir the cornstarch mixture until it is smooth. Stir it into the mushroom mixture, and cook, stirring, 1 minute.
