New kitchen cam at the James Beard House

Ever wonder what celebrity chefs are like when they’re cooking? Now you can get a
behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to prepare dinner at the James Beard House with the new JBF Kitchen Cam. At 5:30 p.m., for each of the 200-plus annual events, the live Internet feed will begin. Virtual guests can toggle between three cameras: a full view of the kitchen, what’s on the stovetop, and the action on the counter where dishes are prepped and plated. Thursday, Jamie Bissonnette (right), chef and co-owner of Coppa and Toro restaurants, will create a “Coast-to-Coast Cool” dinner with Jenn Louis of Lincoln Restaurant and Sunshine Tavern in Portland, Ore. Watch the duo prepare 10 dishes, including salt cod croquettes and a rabbit, pork, and lamb cassoulet. Sign up for alerts of coming dinners at Kitchencam.org.
