For a quick dessert, toss stemmed strawberries with a little granulated sugar and a squeeze of orange juice. Thickly slice an unsliced white sandwich loaf. In a skillet of butter, brown slices, sprinkling sides generously with granulated sugar as you turn them. Halve buttered bread, add berries and juices, and sprinkle with confectioners’ sugar.
