Brownies better than mom’s

Remember the brownies your mother used to make? Melissa Roiter of Westborough does them just as well, or maybe better, with her Yummy Mummy Brownies ($3 each or four for $10). Generously sized — about three times what mom would have cut — Roiter makes the classic plain, walnut, and chocolate chip, but she also makes a dozen other flavors, like Nutella, s’mores, York Peppermint Pattie (Roiter’s own favorite), salted caramel (her current crowd-pleaser), even peanut butter and jelly. Roiter bakes brownies and blondies using her grandmother’s recipe, and as is only right, she serves them to her own children, 10-year-old triplets Charlotte, Jack, and Eve. “I let them eat them whenever. You’d think that they’d want something else sometime, but they love them,” she says. “Which is really nice.” Yummy Mummy Brownies available at Brothers Marketplace, 41 Center St., Weston, 781-966-3696.; Holden farmers’ market on Tuesdays; Kendall Square farmers’ market on Wednesdays; Westboro and Framingham Village Green farmers’ market on Thursdays; SoWa farmers’ market on Harrison Avenue, Boston, on Sundays, or e-mail,617-899-0028.
