Waltham’s Red Bird (361 Moody St. at Taylor St.) is slated to open for dinner on July 15, “bringing a touch of Boston to Moody Street,” says beverage director and general manager Geoffrey Arvanitis. The menu is seasonal New American, says Arvanitis; cocktails are “classics that have stood the test of time.” His personal favorite? The Gallardo, a riff on the traditional Blood and Sand, made with mezcal, sweet vermouth, Luxardo cherry liqueur, and hellfire bitters. Chef Dan Stokes was with Franklin Café; Arvanitis was at Stephanie’s on Newbury and Bistro du Midi.
