Semolina pasta baked into chips

While dining in a Tuscan osteria, Jerry Bello, founder of Sensible Portions snacks (Pita Bites, Veggie and Apple Straws) was so taken by a plate of lightly baked pasta sprinkled with olive oil and salt, that he’s now producing Vintage Italia Pasta Chips ($3 to $4.49 for 5 ounces). The thin, ravioli-shaped, crunchy oven-baked squares, made with semolina flour, like pasta, come in garlic olive oil, sea salt, marinara, spicy tomato herb, and Alfredo flavors. The crackers are good for dips and creamy spreads or just plain munching. Available at Roche Bros. and Big Y locations or go to www.pastachips.com. ANN TRIEGER KURLAND
