As for preparing healthy meals night after night . . . are they kidding?
Anyone who has come home from work on a school night to face a household of grumpy faces knows that the quickest solution, whatever that is, is usually the best one for the moment.
We have a few ideas on the subject. First, great kids have been raised on terrible food. They turn out healthy and smart and learn to appreciate a good meal as adults. Second, there’s nothing wrong with pizza. Third, on nights when you’re desperate, pull out breakfast. Pancakes and berries for supper is a fine solution. And finally, make something nutritious one night a week. If it sells, keep making the same dish till you can make it with your eyes closed. A dish is yours when you can go to the supermarket for ingredients and not need a shopping list.
