FDA issues new safety information for statins

The US Food and Drug Administration said today that a new set of safety warnings would appear on the labels of cholesterol lowering drugs called statins, which include: Lipitor (atorvastatin), Mevacor (lovastatin), Crestor (rosuvastatin), and Zocor (simvastatin), as well as combination products such as Vytorin (simvastatin/ezetimibe).
