Want to lower your stroke risk? Try eating more citrus fruits and fewer products with trans fats. Two new studies found both could affect stroke risk, at least in older women. A Harvard School of Public Health study published last month in the journal Stroke suggests that citrus fruits -- with their high content of natural substances called flavonoids --protect against vascular damage that can lead to strokes.
