Migraine sufferers turn to surgery

A procedure that is becoming more common uses plastic surgery techniques to offer relief for people who have long suffered debilitating pain

An estimated 36 million people, or 10 percent of the US population, suffer from migraine, according to the Migraine Research Foundation, a New York-based national organization that raises money for research and provides informational resources to sufferers. Three times as many women as men are afflicted. A relatively new surgical procedure related to cosmetic plastic surgery is offering relief to some of the severest cases.
