Arthur Mombourquette, longtime vice president of support services at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, has been named chief operating officer at Cape Cod Healthcare, which includes Cape Cod Hospital and Falmouth Hospital.
Mombourquette has led Brigham support services since 1999, overseeing real estate and facilities management, security, engineering, and other departments. He also worked in an interim position leading human resources. Mombourquette has worked for Brigham and Women’s since 1989, when he was director of environmental services. He has a bachelor’s degree in health care administration from Emmanuel College.
“A highly-respected leader, Art has helped guide our institution through many changes over the last 20-plus years with a quiet strength, intelligence, deep humility and an engaging sense of humor,” Mairead Hickey, chief operating officer, wrote in an e-mail to Brigham employees. “His capacity to lead and collaborate with individuals and teams from departments across the institutions has been an enormous asset to us.”
Mombourquette’s last day at Brigham and Women’s is Oct. 31.
