Update: One heart patient may have gotten tainted drugs from Framingham pharmacy

Federal drug regulators now say only one heart transplant patient -- not two - may have acquired a fungal infection from drugs made by a Framingham pharmacy, according to an update posted on the Food and Drug Administration website. On Monday, the FDA said medicines made by New England Compounding Center may be linked to fungal infections in two heart transplant patients. The FDA said Tuesday the report has been revised to one patient who received cardioplegia solution from NECC.
