2012 was warmest on record for the United States

Last year was the warmest on record in the United States and brought the second most extreme weather in more than a century — causing droughts, wildfires, and storm damage — according to a report Tuesday from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

The news continues a dramatic warming trend in the mainland United States: Seven of the nation’s 10 warmest years have taken place in the past 15 years, according toNOAA. Last year’s average temperature of 55.3 degrees Fahrenheit beat the previous 1998 record by 1 full degree, a dramatic increase in climate data where records are often broken by far smaller amounts.

So Markey now thinks he's God, or rather that mankind has the power to control the sun, oceans and the firmament?  After all the exposes of so-called scientists faking data while trying to convience the world of Global Warming for their own financial benefit...and for Al Gore's financial benefit...paint me skeptical.

Skeptical is not the word that comes to mind.

I'm tired of hearing the deniers grasp at whatever straws they can while stopping any progress on this thinking their fictional deity will ultimately come to the rescue. The vast scientific consensus is not only settled but has been for some time. There's no conjecture about the facts in here. You put 7 billion people on the planet with each one contributing individual and (especially) industrial emissions and you're going to stir up the environmental pot.

and what about the rest of the world? Were these stations in urban areas?
