It started with a Facebook post at 10:25 p.m. Tuesday on the page of Isis Parenting: “With heavy hearts, we announce the extremely sad news that Isis Parenting must close. Effective immediately, no classes or phone consults will take place.”
Then at 11:45 p.m. came this post on Twitter from Isis vice president and co-founder Nancy Holtzman: “Thank you all for you lovely words. They are moving me beyond tears. It is a sad, sad evening here @isis_parenting.
And from there parents, especially mothers, took to social media to express sadness, outrage, and, from nonfans of Isis, contempt, about the closing of a local business. By the end of Wednesday, the original Isis Facebook post had more than 700 comments.
