“Grown Ups 2” started filming in Swampscott on Thursday. Scenes were shot at the town’s commuter rail stop, where actors David Spade and Alexander Ludwig could be seen on a train platform. Costar and producer Adam Sandler stood nearby. Location manager Charlie Harrington revealed that the film will spend two weeks shooting on a sound stage that’s under construction on a Swampscott athletic field. The stage will include a pool, tennis courts, and part of a house, and will serve as Sandler’s home in the film. Ludwig plays Spade’s son in the sequel, which also stars Kevin James and Chris Rock . The young actor has been the target of many female fans who loved him as Cato in “The Hunger Games.”
