Celebrity event planner Bryan Rafanelli looked dapper as always at his 50th birthday party at Town Hall in Provincetown over the weekend. Rafanelli’s clients first lady Michelle Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton couldn’t be there in person, but they sent special messages for the occasion. (Rafanelli planned Chelsea Clinton ’s wedding and has organized many parties for the Obamas.) . . . James Van Der Beek , of “Dawson’s Creek” and more recently “Don’t Trust the B---- in Apartment 23,” was spotted checking out of the The Verve-Crown Plaza Natick on Monday.
