Mayor Tom Menino’s commitment to alternative transportation isn’t popular with everyone in the city, but cyclists sure like it. On Tuesday, they celebrated the first anniversary of the Hubway bicycle-sharing system with a party at BSA Space. (Who could resist eyeballing Boloco’s bike-powered smoothie maker and Taza’s famous Chococycle?) Although the mayor did make the scene, he didn’t, like a lot of the other partygoers, bike there.
