An all-star lineup, including Doobie Brother Skunk Baxter, James Montgomery, ex-Boston band members Barry Goudreau, Sib Hashian, and Fran Sheehan, Hootie & the Blowfish’s Sandy MacDonald, and Joe Perry sideman David Hull, is taking part in Saturday’s “Musicians Assisting Veterans” benefit in Lowell. The event, a fundraiser for American War Widows, American Veterans with Brain Injuries, and Massachusetts Fallen Heroes Memorial, includes a concert at Lowell Memorial Auditorium preceded by a motorcycle ride from Hanscom Air Force Base to the venue.
