Robert Pinsky and Oliver Platt (seated, from left) read while dancers perform at the ICA.

There was something for everyone at the ICA this week when Emmy-nominated actor Oliver Platt joined former US poet laureate Robert Pinsky to read stories by composer John Cage during a performance of Merce Cunningham’s “How to Pass, Kick, Fall & Run.” (Got all that?) The event, staged by former Cunningham dancer Rashaun Mitchell, was part of Summer Stages Dance at Concord Academy’s 2012 Meet the Artist Performance Series and Summer Stages/Up Close.

Correction: Because of an editing error, a photo caption accompanying an earlier version of this item about a dance event at the Institute of Contemporary Art misidentified the location of the event.
