The first photos from the set of director Steven Soderbergh’s Liberace biopic, “Behind the Candelabra,” surfaced Tuesday, and we’re already very excited. Homeboy Matt Damon plays Scott Thorson , who was the alleged lover of Liberace (played in the movie by Michael Douglas, above right, with Damon.) Thorson met Liberace in the ’70s — check out those collars — but their relationship soured, and in 1982 Thorson filed a $113 million palimony suit against the preening pianist. (The case was settled out of court in 1986.) The film, which will debut on HBO, also stars Rob Lowe , Dan Aykroyd , Debbie Reynolds , and Scott Bakula .
