HBO has no idea what Larry David is up to on the North Shore — but the network will happily air whatever hilarity he comes up with. HBO co-president Richard Plepler told Entertainment Weekly that the “Curb Your Enthusiasm” creator has “carte blanche” to star in and executive produce a new movie — to costar Jon Hamm and Michael Keaton and be directed by Greg Mottola, whose credits include the incomparable “Superbad” — even if it means delaying a new season of “Curb.” Local film folks tell us David, who spends summer on Martha’s Vineyard, has been scouting locations north of Boston, but details of the untitled project are sketchy. . . . Jeremy Renner isn’t ruling out working with Matt Damon in a future “Bourne” film. Renner, who stars in “The Bourne Legacy,” says he’d like to see Damon return to the blockbuster franchise. Speaking to “Access Hollywood,” Renner said: ‘’What’s exciting about the movie is that there’s many ways it can go . . . and I’m very excited about any direction it goes. Working with Matt would be [expletive] awesome. . . . There’s loads of ways it can go.’’
