We expect that local funny girl Mindy Kaling will appear in a bunch of entertainment and women’s magazines next month when her new comedy, “The Mindy Project,” debuts on Fox. But Fast Company? Yeah, she’s on the cover of that one, too. Kaling, a Buckingham Browne & Nichols grad, is featured in Fast Company’s September issue because she has more than 1.8 million Twitter followers, and, according to the magazine, Fox is banking on Kaling’s social media success to fuel the show. Kaling says in Fast Company, “I don’t actually know if any people care about a specific tweet of mine, but I have fun.”
