Katie Couric Nantucket bound; Terry Francona spotted in Vegas

Retired Boston Bruin Bob Sweeney (back right) raised money for the Boston Bruins Foundation by serving drinks at the 21st Amendment on Thursday night as part of its “Throwback Thursdays” charity program. He was joined by 21st staffers, including (front, from left) Alejandra Jaramillo, Francesca Desforges, Nicola Filipponi, Valerie vanGerven, and (back left) Ray Gowing. . . . Katie Couric will host the 2012 Boston Pops performance on Nantucket on Saturday night — assuming that it goes on as planned. The Nantucket Cottage Hospital website said on Friday, in reference to the weather, “A go or no-go decision on the concert will be made late Saturday afternoon around 3 p.m.” . . . Former Red Sox manager Terry Francona was spotted at Gold Boutique Nightclub and Lounge at Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on Wednesday night.
