It was a particularly festive Saturday night at the Franklin Park Zoo, thanks to the pack of breweries that gathered on the property. The annual “Brew at the Zoo” party, which featured drinks from local companies such as Mayflower Brewing Company and Narragansett, also drew upscale food vendors, Bantam Cider, and featured music by DJ BK. The Zoo usually has its Brew event in the fall, but decided it would be best to make use of its space during the summer. Big names (at least in the zoo community) at the celebration included off-duty zoo keepers (from left) Melissa Durham and John Perakis; Zoo New England CEO John Linehan; and Senior Zoo Keeper Sarah Woodruff.
