Oscar nominee John Malkovich stopped by SoWa Vintage Market Sunday and spent a little time browsing the groovy goods. While he’s been an occasional shopper at SoWa Open Market, the “In the Line of Fire” actor, who lives part time in Cambridge, hadn’t previously been spotted at the Vintage Market. “That was a first for us,” said Stephanie Pernice, who operates the space with her partner, John Warren. “We were trying to be cool and let him wander.” But because Pernice is such a big fan, Warren couldn’t resist saying hello. And that was just fine with Malkovich, who stopped to chat about vintage photography and, of course, pose for a pic with Pernice (above). The actor, who has a fashion line of his own called Technobohemian, complimented the couple on their array of stylish home decor, furnishings, art, and accessories — and then strolled away.
