Tuesday evening was the first round of auditions for the 62 women in the running to be this year’s Bruins Ice Girls. The ladies — who were chosen from more than 600 applicants — gathered at Boston University’s Walter Brown Arena for skating assessments and interviews. Finalists will appear at the TD Garden on Thursday night for call backs and the announcement of this year’s team of 18. We assume that even if there’s no hockey season, the Ice Girls will have plenty to do. The Celtics Dancers still made plenty of appearances during the team’s downtime last season.
