The Island Creek Oysters Foundation — which promotes aquaculture as a source of food production — had mostly good weather for its second annual Friends for Haiti benefit on Duxbury Beach over the weekend. Restaurant industry folks who came out, cooked, and poured to support the cause included drinkmaster Jackson Cannon of the Hawthorne, John Gertsen of Drink, Michael Scelfo of the Russell House Tavern, Jeremy Sewall of Lineage, Seth and Angela Raynor of the Boarding House, New York chef Jonathan Benno of Lincoln, and, of course, the staff of Island Creek Oysters, including Chris Sherman, Shore Gregory, and Skip Bennett, who were probably very relieved that it didn’t rain until the end of the party.
