Boston’s own Mindy Kaling, star of the new Fox series “The Mindy Project,” is on the cover of the new issue of New York magazine. Kaling has also been tapped to present at this year’s Emmys, as has Newton’s Louis C.K. and Burlington’s Amy Poehler.
